About Mark Denote
Mark is a writer, author, and educator. Mark spent years in the classroom teaching writing and literature and in his spare time wrote two books about Florida’s craft beer and breweries along with countless articles on craft beer and related topics.
Mark is the primary writer and editor for Florida Beer News since 2013 and now BeerWise, a website devoted to craft beer and related topics around the U.S.
Mark hosts the BeerWise Podcast where he speaks to people of interest in and around craft beer all over the U.S. Mark is a Certified Cicerone®, and he has taught classes about craft beer at formal and informal tastings and has guest lectured at Florida State University’s Dedman School of Hospitality since 2021. Mark has appeared widely on podcasts, radio, private classes and recently Tampa Beer: Crafting the Bay documentary film.
